Our Rich Cultural Heritage

Ghana is well-known for its rich mineral resources, mass forest and pristine beaches along the coast. These videos depict the stunning beauty of Accra, Ghana and gives a clear and vivid intriguing landscape.  

There are several attractions that the nation offers and some are; the Independence Square also known as the Black Star Square and site attractions like the famous Jamestown lighthouse in Accra, Ghana.

The Independence square was commissioned by Ghana’s founding leader and first President; Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah. A revolutionist who spearheaded the Independence of Gold Coast, now the Republic of Ghana. The Independence Square was built to promote national unity and mark the nation’s independence which was on the 6th of March 1957. The independence square signifies the struggle and fight for victory over our colonial masters.

Also, the Jamestown lighthouse, a tourist attraction had its own purpose and it was to guide the boats to shore, through the provision of light which was powered by a generator manually. Due to its purpose during colonial times, it now serves as a tourist attraction and a cultural legacy.
